LPT: If you are in melee range of an enemy and it drops loot, stick your hand out and catch it

The collision box for picking up loot is a lot bigger than you think.

i mean yeah you can pick them up from like 5 feet in the air

This goes for anything with the white circle interaction system. Otherwise you have to physically touch the item like books and materials in a crafting station
