I think it would be a cool and easy to add addition to scale the fish models to bigger sizes depending on the weight you catch.
It can give that extra motivation on trying to get the bigger and smaller fishes

Would have loved that on my bugged out 0.01 shark catch in the old game, weights went a bit haywire the day they released the legendary fish
