If there is a way to increase the chance for a legendary or higher stats, obviously we are going to use it. It would be dumb not to. Clearly that’s why I asked how it worked.

Regardless of how much luck/RNG plays in getting any kind of miniscule upgrade, there’s no reason not to take advantage available ways to boost it if you can.
Okay so you are saying that you are okay with someone having a DPS advantage over you for weeks/months because you just so happened to not get a 5% boost from a legendary? and you believe 5% to be minuscule even on time sensitive fights? Just trying to clarify here.
I am 100% ok with that, doesn’t mean they are going to do more dps than me or progress through content faster. There is a lot more to just a weapon when playing a mage. I mean we had dps with t2 weapons when we beat the 5th boss pre-nerf, so weapons don’t necessarily make or break progression.

I said miniscule to emphasize that even if it was just a one point increase in one stat, you might as well maximize your chance to get it. And yeah I’m fine with RNG being what it is, that’s how it is in most any mmo I’ve ever played. Having a good blend of RNG and grindable (token) gear keeps it interesting.
Edit: I will concede however that because no equipment is tradable in Orbus, that does complicate the issue compared to some other MMOs.
