I’ve tried with one person and I’ve tried with two people and I’ve never been called. Why does it take so long?

There needs to be 8 people all queued. It’s usually a bit of a wait.
The best way to get the que to pop, is to join the que when there is one scheduled by a group of people. Like the Travellers Hall one, who starts battlegrounds every 5pm EST on Friday and 9pm EST on Saturday.
Yeah, you can also try getting your fellowship to all queue up if you have enough people on, but basically, you probably want to gather some people or join a group that is already gathered.
