it’s early access. the game needs a considerable fleshing out of most of it’s systems.
i’m of the opinion the devs want players to go out and find runes rather than running highsteepe hogwarts because the runes aren’t just instantly populated to your journal upon equipping a wand. why else would the runes be in the world?
i feel the other 3 classes are just too early to have their gating implemented. musketeer orbs need a complexity overhaul in my opinion. warrior needs more combo’s and i believe they could also do the reduced effectiveness for unknown combo’s route. i have no idea what to do with rangers as i don’t play them.
Actually this is literally one of my favorite parts of the game.
We added the runes because people were complaining that they couldn’t practice solo when there weren’t people around to teach them the spells.
The spells already have a natural learning curve, I don’t see any reason to artificially gate it. At the same time, when the Talent System is introduced, there will be some additional “stuff to unlock” as you level up to scratch that itch.
This is awesome. Groups of mages learning from other players is something that got me really excited when hearing about the game. It seems like many players want a conventional MMO framework to apply the same way here, but this is a VR game and it’s nice to see devs following a vision while also still taking everyone’s ideas into account.
