Damage reduction effect of shard armour

Does anybody have stats of the difference in damage reduction that Armour levels, Magical defense and physical defense has (mainly on the warrior).

I tested the difference between T8 and T12 shoulders (everything else the same) with on low level mobs both took me 118 hits to die and high level mobs always seem to hit the same amount of health bar on both armour pieces. The same I did for 2 T10 chest plates one being Physical one being Magical which also seems to both give me the same defense on the same type of attack.

So I am either missing some rules for the test like only extra defense until the lvl/tier mob you are fighting, or there is some kind of bug, or the difference is neglectable and useless.

Anybody else has stats/insights?
