Dye drop rate curiosity

I’m with you here. If Riley is saying that it’s not going to significantly increase chances, and my experience is telling me that it basically makes no difference, I’m done with luck rings. I think I’ve actually gotten better/more drops when not wearing them. Maybe that’s just anecdotal, but I can’t argue with the statistics of my drops vs my time played.

Have you given any thoughts to making the duration of the luck potion longer? For the mats it takes, it doesn’t really seem to be worth it, as it can only be used on 1 boss.

It doesnt matter or you with 5 or 1 people i think theres always 1 blue drop and 1 dye for each boss kill. Well i don’t know for sure about the dye but im pretty certain on the blue item. When i solo bosses i always get a blue item when im in a party i barely get an item anymore so its obvious it goes to the other party member. Maybe Riley can clear this mystery up but it seems to me it works that way.

Also on the droprate. If its half of saltwater toffee its very very low. I once did 20 runs and didnt saw any saltwater toffee. Its perfectly possible the dices are against you. Wich is not anything to complain about its just life.you d be happier about it all once you completed your set.

Do luck rings help with getting better stats on guaranteed drops?

I’ve ran the jungle dungeon with decoy for around 150 boss kills now and I have had 7 saltwater and only 1 pumpkin dye, I had luck rings on the whole time

I’ve gone thru the jungle about 20 times and got 2 pumpkin dye

Can the problem be that the jungle dungeon has a lot of extra dropables for the chests? I get a lot of fether, teeth, regents, green gear and more.

If that was only so. But a set will only be complete until you get this and that from the shard dungeons to start over :wink: … and I don’t even have good armor or, on alts, even complete armor from normal TM, so hundreds runs for dyes for the distant time where I might have a decent, un-changing set for a while are not worth it for me.

And @Riley_D thanks for clarification on the rings, to know a bit more about how RNG works is pretty important for groups imo. For example, if people think they “steal” chances from others to get a guaranteed some would be reluctant to put rings on (like, if one member gotta go and we need the guaranteed for him) and if the chance was double or affecting the actual stats on drops they would leave them on all the time etc. I’m glad neither is the case.

In fact it turns out to be the other way round though, and that is perhaps not a very good thing. If people got something on farm these are the same who don’t care about armor anymore, while those who are needing it badly, in all-blues, wear their luck rings additionally, performing even worse. So these who would need it most, who need to practice, die more often due to lack of physical def etc. will never have the boost from the other rings and this is not very helpful in groups.

So I would still be for 50+ luck as an additional stat on all the world boss rings, that would be a great incentive to farm them early, too.

I feel like the luck potion should give much more luck, if 2 rings are just a little boost and a luck potion is the same as 2 rings, it’s pretty much a waste of mats. Since it’s expensive and only lasts 5 mins, it should be very impactful.

I’m still salty about my t6 luck potion did nothing and my guaranteed was a treasure master sword. RNGesus has forsaken me. Today’s t6 better net me that legendary!

yeah i never got a drop from luck potion either, good thing we have guaranteed drops lol
