I hate posting things like this because the game is so great and I don’t want to take anything away from that. I feel like we are hard on the devs sometimes but on the other hand if we see things that could use tweaking and don’t bring it up …
I got a gear drop from the raid and dyed it. The dye erased all detail in the armor.
It’s a tiny thing but it’s such cool looking armor.
Which armor was it? It’s a possibility that the dye painted over some details by mistake so we could look into it and see if that’s the case.
(Also, did you dye it both with a main and accent? oftentimes the accent is the whole detail and the main will paint over more than normal until you have an accent.)
a bit off-topic but i wanted to ask: is there a reason why raids drop both Bee and Dandelion accent dyes which are pretty much the same or is it an oversight?
They are different shades of yellow I thought might make some pieces look cool with the same color but different tones so it was more of an experiment to see how the community liked it then anything else so we would know if the community as a whole wanted completely different colors or like to mix/match diff shades of same color to get kind of gradient effects, etc.
It was a mage chest piece.
I did not do an accent dye. I was a bit worried about using it because I’m broke lol. Jinx is playing echo arena on my Orbus headset. I’ll try it after he gets off.
Ok tried it. I think It’s just the 2nd layer. It makes it look a bit flat. I just could not put my finger on what was changing lol.
I put an accent on it.
This is with dye
What I would like to see is dye match the gradient of the armor just in the color you dyed… just like irl if you dye a grey shirt and a white shirt with the same dye, the grey shirt would be darker. So if I dye the raid parka pink, it should be darker on the top half because the default color is darker, this would add a lot more dimension to the colors.
