Eggs in rainforest dungeon 2nd boss are sometimes undamageable

Every so often some of the eggs that the boss spawns can’t be hit by direct damage attacks, only AOE. I’m standing 1m away and the arrows go right through, so I have to use fire arrow.

Also annoying is that the root hitboxes are so large when still underground that they block hits for nearby eggs.
