I tracked the fish I caught between level 19 and level 20 fishing… for science!
The total exp required for 19-20 came out as 271,040 I think it’s wrong due to getting “lucky” fish from the luck stat as I tracked the number I caught by adding them to the total each time I banked them after fishing so the numbers of fish are correct but I have no idea how lucky fish played into that to change the numbers for the real amount of exp as it’s not something that is easy to track
After I hit 20 I also logged the amount of each fish I caught from 1-20 using the stats from the journal, these are also not quite the full amount needed due to using some quest turn-in exp and fishing while using bonus exp but if anyone is sort of interested in the amount I caught and the weights of the fish or anything like that it’s all on the spreadsheet too
That is an insane and very scary number 271,040 exp just for one fishing lvl…
Also if we simplify the conclusion here, it means someone has to catch about 20000 fish before becoming a lvl 20 fisher…
The only thing I still want to know is how much time it costs to catch a single fish. Then multiply that times 20000 to get the total fish time. (ignoring farming for the lure ingredients)
Congratulations on hitting 20 fishing, Rickness! It was the roughest grind I had ever done, and I’m thoroughly impressed by anyone who is crazy enough to do it. Seriously. All my congratulations to you.
Also to note on the luck thing, I do wish there was some sort of indicator or sound when you get a two fish catch.
I agree, it would be great if there was some way of knowing when it happens
