A good way to get the stalls and guild city to blossom is to make a teleport device just like your home. But for guild hall. So if you join a guild that has a guild hall, you could use device just like your home pad, to get to guild city. Market stalls would get alot more attractive for the bidding aswell .
would much rather have it so each player owned home has its own hearthstone then buying the house outside guild city would make more sense
I think it would be cool if you could say, buy all of the houses. And each house has its own teleportation device in your inventory you can use (weight 0). But all of them go on cooldown when you use one.
Think of it as a long term money sink for 98% of the players while adding convenience to players in the game.
As for the guild hall, I think having one makes sense too. Plus it would be really cool if the guild hall had an add-on room that allowed people to open a portal directly in the guild hall that stays open as a one way portal until its changed.
This is a novel idea. Use the recall stone, a menu pops up with your available locations. You could have it set to a toggle for a default location, or a list. Easy way would be: 2 handed grab, go to default location (a default that you set), 1 handed grab, open list of available locations.
The biggest mistake they did was making Highsteppe the central point of the entire map, making each zone about the same distance to travel to.
Noone wants to put their house in Guild City because then it becomes extra work to travel to the Desert or Winter Biome, without portals. Also because 90% of people have their home in Highsteppe.
On the other hand if the long-term plan was to make it more convenient to get to end-game content via Guild City they might look like they knew what they were doing.
Then it would be convenient for newer players to be based out of Highsteppe since it’s equidistant to the leveling zones but for end-game players to be centralized more at Guild City since they will spend more of their time going to end-game dungeons and raids…
Who woulda thunk?
Yeah honestly this seems like Guild City being empty is only a symptom of a lower leveled playerbase at the moment. Seeing legions of level 2-5 people at Highsteppe
Then why have a house available in the desert, the jungle and i assume there is one in the plains. Plus you can still just port to highsteppe and hop on the zeppelin to be at guild city in less than 5 minutes travel time so 2k dram for 5 minutes travel time still doesn’t make too much sense. i’m looking at the different housing options the way wow players looked at epic mounts during vanilla something that only the better players were able to surmount enough money for the convenience of having.
