Having problem making a character at the start of the game

when I start the game of it comes up with (create a character) and under just says loading and i can’t do anything

I had this issue.

Look on your gaming screen(yes remove the VR headset lol) You need to sign up to an account on the web site.

i have made an account but it is still no loading?

Hey there!

Sorry for the trouble you’re having!

If you look under your

(SteamLibrary)/steamapps/common/OrbusVR/vrclient_Data

directory you should see a file called “output_log.txt”. If you can email that to me at riley@orbusvr.com I can take a look and hopefully see what’s going on.

I have this issue only when trying to open the game through the Oculus App.

If you bought the game on Steam then Steam has to at least be open and connected to the Internet to verify your ownership of the game when it launches. It can just be minimized to the tray and you don’t have to have SteamVR on, but the base Steam client does have to be active for it to work I think.

Yeah it hasn’t been an issue at all since the first time, I just launch it through Steam and the OculusDash takes over the rest.
