June 11th Update Feedback: Trickster Goblin

This is the part where you are missing the Point that is in front of you. WE ARE TRYING TO CHANGE IT lolololol. trying to fix it and make it the way PVPERS WANT IT lol

it was @Rickness_Voidwalker but yeah… I agree there should be some tail end for hardcore PvP as there should for hardcore PvE and so maybe that is how this should pan out. My point was more that, there are a lot of casual PvPers, as a game developer, you cannot really alienate one group or the other… So if making the trickster chest available to compete for casuals is not good enough for the hardcore PvPers… Then maybe it makes sense to tailor it to the hardcore audiences needs and keep battlegrounds for casuals.

yup thats the goal

I think lumping all the PVP activities into one bucket is like lumping critter capture in with raids. They’re actually fairly different activities. Battlegrounds is totally even playing field, with no risk and little reward. World PVP/Trickster events are geared, high risk, high reward.

I’d much prefer a view that looked at them as two activities with relatively little content available for either and have them built out independently. Add bigger and better battleground features (e.g. bigger or smaller queues, other game modes). But also add bigger and better world PVP features (e.g. other trickster events, faction-based or fellowship-based warfare).

Ever went fishing for Jelmiry? scnr but yea, these kind of mechanics are just exhausting, even more if you want to have a decent number of people goin for it, at the same time; there should be a fixed time and perhaps even notifications on discord like with the former trickster-chest.

Dear Santa Riley,

Here is my Christmas list:
The Wilds
New rift cuz mine just broke :frowning:

P.S Sorry about the Eggnog last year.

Good point… When there is one feature trying to ‘fit-all-shoe-sizes’ there will always be opposing opinions. Food for thought right there.

While I appreciate the update and the increase in general as more content - the Trickster Goblin caters to a very very small niche and it’s kind of annoying that the development team is imo - giving the elites - long term players - a special treat.

There is no possible way I’ll ever get a crack at it. Even at lvl 30 there’s still no way because I’m basically competing with long term players who have farmed shards and basically just battle it out by themselves. I bet even an invisibility potion is hard to get probably as the mats are pretty rare or hard to obtain.

So this “feature” is pointless for a lot of players and personally I would have much rather seen the time invested in helping the new/mid level players with something or working on core mechanics/general content/Queue system etc.

Most of the things you mentioned were end-game based things though…

and here is a different ‘shoe-size’. I am very grateful to see this opinion. I 100% agree.

Yes and it seems the priority is end game content rather than general leveling/improving the world for everyone.

Again, it’s a neat idea - but does not improve mine or the general populations experience in game.

I think the goblin should announce a zone which its going to appear in, and give people a few minutes to get to that zone. Then the zone should have walls that slowly move towards the center, pushing everyone closer to the goblin at the center. There are no teams, its a FFA, and the last man standing has to fight the goblin till he drops his loot. …this reply started as a battle royal joke, but now i kinda think it sounds like the most fun/balanced option.

things I should mention :

Devs are trigger happy to spam out end-game content.
Listen to mainly bigger guilds
just released more quests into the game with recent update.

Battle Royale BG queue please! But that’s neither here nor there.

I would hate a dam battle royale so many games ruined by them.

This would be cool haha like PubG. Or maybe once you are in the zone everyone loses all the additions to their stats and are at base. That would make it fun for everyone, but that will never happen.

riley should just put the goblin in lamavora wilds and keep everything in the lamavora wilds except those dam spiders.

I haven’t had a chance to play the update yet and I’m looking forward to the new quests/main story line. Again, I appreciate the update due to generally increased content all around. I just feel the Goblin is a bit niche.

so are high end shard dungeons and high end raids
most people are casual players whether it be pvp, pve both

I actually like this a lot now. Im not a fan of BR normally, but i think it could actually work in this game. Maybe 2 man teams or something. It would still allow people who are good at pvp to shine, but it would level the playing field a lot, which is what seems to be the crux of all the issues…
