Long Term Mission Reputation/Lore

Is this a thing ? The developers have been pretty up front about the new stuff available in the update. But I understand there have been some players who are possibly killing themselves to try to get enough reputation with the Long Term Mission NPC to trigger a Lore Quest chain.

Please can the developers confirm if this is something to work towards ?

I forgot this had made it in the video but no, it was a bug with the NPC that we fixed later on during testing. Sorry about that.
