Orbus. A Latin word translated to orphan. Our world of Patreayl can be seen as an Orbus, a dimension whose goddess seemed to of abandoned a long long time ago. One might be quick to assume that our godless world would be at a disadvantage from the others but we had something they didn’t. Us, our community. Together we all did something no other realm has seemed to ever do. Something so unheard it’s never even been attempted. We pushed out the mother of the gods, the castle in the sky, Nodenghast. This castle threatened our home with eternal chaos and evil like it’s done to many others but we pushed back. And thanks to us we have still have our home. But avid lore reader will know that Nodenghast wasn’t the only threat to our world. Our world was slowly combining with our sister realm, the realm of chaos. And as each day passed the barrier between the worlds thinned until now where they have become one.
So does this mean we’ve lost?
No I don’t think it does, as the servers shut down and we fused with the chaos realm we all took off our headsets all over the world and opened our eyes to a different world, our world. Our characters aren’t gone, we are our characters! Our friends our community it is all here. So is Orbus gone or are we just living it in a new world? A different dimension? One with order and chaos. Sure we don’t have wands, dragons, or even a little red dog to thank but we still have all the memories and relationships we’ve made and that to me is proof that orbus still exists, not as a game to load up, but as a world to live in where we still will have this community and friends. So while it is sad Orbus as a world is gone everything that truly made it special to me, all of you, are still here as friends. And until that is gone then only then do I believe orbus will be truly gone. Orbus will live in us!
