Sometimes after playing the game a while i notice my character will start sliding a lot, i am not hitting the controls at all for movement and it is highly irritating.
Is anyone else having this issues? I am also having issues with sound, I can’t hear other people half the time and i dont think they cann ever hear me.
I’m fairly sure it is a bug, however I do notice it tends to happen when my hands sweat a bit. This could be due to the length of time I am playing it, or maybe the warmth and wetness on the pad. However wiping the pad doesn’t seem to fix it, nor does restarting the game sometimes.
I usually have to walk away from the game and play something else for a while
Got it my vive as well, both sliding and turning, but in my case it happens after using one of them, im guessing hitting the wall once too much may have shaken something, fixable by tapping the touch controls so it stops.
(allthou, problem exist only in Orbus)
You may have found the (intentional?) auto run. I noticed this too and a little playing around, I could reproduce it. If while sliding you press the grip button on the left hand (it might be which ever hand you have for the sliding motion), then release the movement input followed by releasing the grip button. You should just be able to move without any input. Nice for long walks.
I’m using the Oculus, but if it is a feature then it should be happening on all platforms.
Nah, It’s not the auto run function. I am aware of that and I try clicking the grip buttons furiously to see if its stuck or something.
Unreliably if i rub my thumbs all over the directional pad quickly it can sometimes stop moving but its usually short lived and once i start moving again it is likely to “stick” again.
