It would be really nice to have a visible icon to tell if someone is muted, say replacing the voice icon next to their HP guage with a ‘Mute’ icon. I’d say that the icon should be yellow if they have muted themselves & red if you muted them. If you have muted yourself, you should have a mute icon visible somewhere, either attached to the HP/Ultimate bars on your weapon/shield, or up in the sky by your level gauge.
My reasons for these is the fact that I have tried talking to people after forgetting that I have hit mute on myself & others have done the same around me as well, at least with indicators we would be able to catch the fact that there is a mute in effect a lot sooner.
It would be nice if your EXP gauge would change color depending on your Bandit status red/orange so you can tell if your name is red/orange a bit more easily, yes you do have the timer up there, but seeing a red glow looking up would make it far more noticeable, It might be nice to be able to see how large your bounty is up there as well
you can tell if you’ve muted someone because you can’t see their hands / weapon or any items on their belt. I get what you mean by the self muting thing because i have my voice input off all the time and i have to tell other people that they’ve turned it off too since they try to talk to me and nothing comes out
Yes, you are correct on their hands being hidden when you mute others, but sometimes players get a bit bugged out & hands can vanish for various reasons due to bugs or glitches, also would be to more or less differentiate between the two different muted states if it was added.
It does make me think, it might be nice of the persons hands would go transparent for others if they get close to you while they are muted by you to indicate to others that you may have muted that person. Not invisible, just see-through or something.
Yeah i muted one of my friends in game since we talked in discord so when I saw him in game when we weren’t in discord it took me a bit to realize that i’d forgotten to unmute him. I’d rather not get rid of the invisible hands but something in addition to that would be nice. something obvious like a logo above their head or change their color a bit?
