Patch 17.01 Notes - World Boss, Long Term Missions, Winter Fest

Hi everyone, today’s patch includes the new World Boss, four new Long Term Missions and the return of the Winter Festival with some new rewards and some classics coming back.

Patch Notes:

  • Added the Rock Giant world boss - its location and how to fight it is up to you to discover!
    • Drops a new ring, cape, and pet
  • Added 4 new long term missions to the tavern NPC - fight world bosses, dungeon bosses, fish legendary fish, and complete public events!
  • Switched over the environments to winter themed, and brought back the Winter Festival quests
    • Festival NPC (outside the gates of Highsteppe) for the main “Strangers” questline
    • Festival Farmer (outside Critter Capture shop) for the Floating Lights scavenger hunt
    • Pierre Cenn (inside the Critter Capture shop) for the Snowman Critter Capture mission
    • Added Winter Fest 2021 achievement

Mabye the temples essa went haywire and formed a rock giant since it comes from the ground

One small glitch with the world boss.

Hidden

Sometimes we have all 8 classes stand on the rocks while the boss corpse is there, and it doesn’t enrage. So we have people move off and on the rock again and sometimes fix it with that.

And another glitch many experience. We have often that the boss health stays full until it dies.

Please note: the critter capture mission currently gives the wrong reward (last year’s) - we will have a fix for that tomorrow, and we will send players who already turned it in the proper rewards as well, but wait for the fix before turning it in if you want the new reward. Sorry about that.

The winter patch is corrupting some peoples game file.

If you turn in the critter capture mission now it should give out the correct reward

We will be reaching out to those who already turned in the mission and got the wrong reward.

Everybody should now have the proper pet sent to them to their delivery chests if they turned in the mission before the update.
