First off is it possible to use keyboards to type? I haven’t been successful typing with keyboard on messages, will check this again.
Next off, the compass chat is a hit or miss. Like I can’t tell which group I’m talking to, the party or the fellowship. Could there be an icon, or visual element like a ‘F’ or ‘P’ somewhere? It also at times switches mode when I’m holding it and moving in the world or something?
Lastly could there be a group coordinated chat? I guess this is what the fellowship is for, but with most people already in different fellowships and forming a party being for me mostly a ‘lets kill monsters together’ and restricted to 5 people, I would like there to be chat just for chatting or passing information along.
However I also understand the difficulty this might be. The new VoIP is greatly appreciated but makes me think voice chat is still in the early stages of this game and is still being developed.
Hi there, thanks for the suggestion, we’ll keep it under consideration. Just to answer your questions - using keyboard would be a bit impractical since you’d have to remove the headset.
But for the compass, it does have two modes, fellowship and party which is changed by shaking it. It will then glow either green for fellowship or red for party, but there is an issue where the color only refreshes once you have brought it to your mouth once after that. Besides that it’s possible we need to make it clearer.
I want to say it’s definitely mentioned now either in the new tutorial or on the signs, but might not have been mentioned in the old version of the tutorial.
its mentioned in tutorial and sign post in tutorial area, the area can always be accessed so if you havent read the signs up there it might be worth a 5 min detour, might find something useful on signs even if playing a while.
My confusion was that it says, it will turn red when transmitting. And the picture of the green orb and the red orb don’t match? Since the entire compass is changing color.
Like you can only notice it when not transmitting, since both are red regardless of the mode. And default/ red orb means non-colored with purple orb? Whilst the green orb means compass fully green?
