The arrows being so far down my “belt” makes it very hard to play seated (they are virtually located inside my real chair), and I have to move my head and body forwards to be able to grab them.
It would be cool if the bow itself held the special “arrowheads” for the arrows (space saving too), implying that when grabbing one you would be exchanging your arrowhead with the magical one.
In a way it would be similar to the musketeer floating orbs.
IMO I would hate to have anymore hud on my bow, it’ll make it harder to see the target.
Along with this I shoot bow in left hand, I wish I could have all the hud on the right side of the bow out of my view when I aim. I don’t need to always see the ultimate bar, charge bar, charged arrow ready, trap ready… all in my primary view. All these are not needing to be in my immediate view all the time.
I get that it may not be desired to have additional arrows appearing on the bow itself but I agree it’s difficult to do seated play as a ranger. The arrows are just too far out of reach and I often have to go to the edge of my seated position to be able to reach them with any sort of consistency. I’d like for the ability arrows to be a little higher up, right now it appears the anchor point for the position on the waste is at the back of the arrow which makes sense but if they shifted upwards to where they were centered on the belt position that’d be helpful.
Moving them upwards, and giving them an angle (as if they where tied semi-horizontally to your belt/chest) would work too.
Another option is to give the bow an immersive switch of some sort, to rotate the current type of arrow (like the avengers guy does it, and the quiver rotates to select the arrow he wants to fire):
As a standing player I love where the arrows are. It’s perfect for after a shot to grab and draw real quick. I wouldn’t change a thing in that respect.
As a seated player: maybe allowing the positions to be raised to “chest” level. I agree sitting is almost impossible for a ranger. But having anything extra on the bow would be too much of a hindrance, and a risk to grab a special arrow unintentionally.
This may be intentional to “force” a player to stand. But I also understand that not everyone is capable of facilitating a standing play style.
Maybe a simple “Seated Mode” in the settings could solve the issue?
