So after playing around with pushback 1 and 2 on both monsters and dummies, here are my observations.
Pb1 does double damage compared to pb2.
Pb1 has great range, pb2 has 0 range.
Pb1 can be drawn in a pinch. Pb2 takes a lot of practice and is no guarantee.
The range seems pretty comparable between pb1 and 2.
My thoughts. Pb2 needs a change. Not in drawing it, but in its usefulness. As is right now it seems to me that everything should be reversed between the two of them.
Pb2 should be double damage of pb1 (not that people use it as a damage spell, but it’s the moral of the issue ).
Pb2 should have more range while pb1 should be touch based.
And lastly, pb2 should affect a greater range of creatures than pb1.
Really just depends on your proficiency. If you practice hard and get good with the spell it can definitely come in handy. (As a note: I suck at the spell and still don’t think it should be changed)
This would make sense if it wasn’t an aoe spell that can affect multiple enemies.
If you were quite good with pushback 2 you could take on a bunch of creatures at once, or it could bide you the necessary time for someone to save your butt with multiple adds on you.
Doesn’t the pushback effect stop after the first or second time doing it? Pretty sure with 1 it does-I’ll have to test that out with 2.
I’ve got it down pretty well, but I’m just not sure I see the benefit of pb2. If I get caught in a large group and need an out, even if I cast that chances are I’m a dead man as soon I try to run past. Again, if it had a medium-short paralysis effect or something that would be wayyy more useful and incentivizing.
As of now I find a use for most spells at one point or another but for this one. This is just anecdotal from my end. Maybe a lot of people use it later in the game! But it not, I think the devs should consider buffing it.
