Since there is an obsidian thread going, just thought I’d add another suggestion: Throw some of that ore up on the cave walls rather than only the floor.

put hundreds of them on the cave ceiling so when people look up they see all of the obsidian they need, but make sure they cant get it

I am imagining 5 people stacked on top of each other mining 1 ore at a time and moving very wobly to the next ore
