Just look at their back, if a player has items then they have a backpack. No need to give yourself or another player extended bandit status… unless you really wanted it

Sounds like a good idea. I will test it out today.

Is this a thing you can only see in the wilds? I’ve never seen backpacks on people

Yes, only in PVP, as it’s the only place you can lose your tradeables, it makes sense to only see it there.
Otherwise, it’d be covering up my snazzy capes all the time!

hohoho… time to assemble the dream team.

quick couple questions. once you are dead, are you allowed to run back? are you allowed to camp any area, either the ramp or the item drop place? how will start locations be balanced as there is only 1 way up the ramp, and it is in the corner of the wilds?

Does everyone have to get the item or only 1 person per group has to get the item?

Everyone will be handed the item at the top of the hill and only 1 has to be to be turned in.

Everyone will start at the start location and will have to head up to the top of the hill . You can run back all you want .

This promotes killing each other. It’s the main reason I choose the end of the hill. You’ll have to run in to each other and deal with aberrations along the way.

a couple things for you to consider @Damander
There seem to be at least two entrances to the PVP zones, players could enter on either side, graves are on both sides too afaik
Bandits that die, go to the jail, near Lakewood, it will take time for some players to return if they decide to.
Instead of giving players items at the beginning, have someone go in and drop a bag (essentially die to mobs) somewhere in the PVP zone, your teams then need to race to find and hold onto the items, instead of racing to the finish line from the getgo. Picking up the items puts them in bandit status, the red nametag would flag them as having the loot.

that all sounds like do you shoot first and become bandit or second and have the option to respawn
also if you kill a bandit and take loot you don’t become a bandit.

@Daeresha thank you once again. That also wasn’t something thought of.

I am currently speaking to the devs about the event and seeing what we can do.

Until then I will see what we can do to make this event successful.

I do really like Daeresha’s idea a lot. It encourages the original concept of battle royale where you need to find things to win, and not just run as fast as you can. Decoy/crap bags (broken lures  ) could also be dropped in places to delay the end of the event rather than it being a competition to grab the first bag you see, and dodge your way back.

It looks as though I need to postpone this event. We need to work out a few kinks and adjust how the event is ran. Sorry to inconvenience everyone.

Once changes are done I will repost this and update how the event will change.

Fantastic idea, can’t wait to see how this turns out.

I’m a little bit confused. Is there any way for Players who don’t participate to watch this event? For example a small tavern with a monitor from where everyone can watch.
