I have tried to make the potion multiple times and because the newbie zone is so cluttered with people it can take a while trying to get the queensleaf (or whatever its called) to try and make more.
I have followed the book to a T. Put the Queenleaf in wait for it to turn yellow, add the mushroom and another leaf it turns blue. Add the fish and try dumping the bottle in? Nope. Add the fish, wait for it to turn a teal color? Nope.
Can anyone help me out? It’s really turning me off from this game and I know it shouldn’t, but it takes FOREVER to get the mats when its constantly failing when you’re following the directions perfectly.
Add 1 Roto Spore and 1 Queen’s Ear (add both while water is Yellow)
Water will go back to Cold (Blue). Add 1 Sunfish.
Finish immediately (while still Cold)
It sounds like you’re doing it right, just to be clear that it goes Blue, Turqoise, Green, Yellow. And that you add both the Roto Spore and Queen’s Ear while it’s still Yellow.
Also just a note that if you’re making the Healing Potion for the quest, you can just turn in a Ruined Potion and continue on with the quest.
I just tried it by holding an ingredient in both hands and added them that way. Was that a requirement? I’ve always just grabbed them one at a time and never had luck, but just now when I had the Roto Spore and the Queen’s Ear in both hands and added them at the same time it did.
I have success with both ways, one hand grabbing both in succession or one in each hand. I had some trouble but I am confident that now that you have it you’ll find it easier and easier. Kind of like many skills in Orbus!
Not sure what order you were adding them in, but they must be added in order even if they need to be added during the same “tempature” setting, so on the
you must still add the roto spore before the queens ear even though they are both into the Yellow water. Not sure if that is what happened but I know this got some players early on.
The preferred method of making potions is adding each ingredient 1 at a time.
Tip #1: Make sure all ingredients you are going to use are closest to the pot by rearranging them in the chest
Tip #2: Whenever the pot changes color, adding an ingredient resets the “timer” thats hidden so you don’t have to rush super fast.
Tip #3: Because the timer gets refreshed/reset every time you add something, you should hold one ingredient in one hand and move it into the pot one at a time.
This way you never “mess up” via multiple ingredients or in the wrong order.
Also yeah the instructions are a little bit different for that potion since it uses a drawing rather than how later potions just explain it clearly.
Brewing was hard for me as well at first, think I got it down now, made a video tutorial that might help ya out if you’re still having trouble: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXyZMoG5Fbo
the instructions in the journal tell you the order, but the colors are posted on the wall of the house too. Follow the journal ingredients step by step and don’t do it out of order
