Refined Warrior attack arsenal

OK so warriors are meant to be tanky and be the ‘battle commanders’. Still, like everyone else they also want to have a good time solo and be able to deal with all kinds of mobs.

While playing warrior I have sorely missed:

  1. A kind of ‘mortal strike’ combo that reduces enemy healing. The healer mobs in rainforest for example are extremely hard to kill if you are not overleveled/overgeared. This could also be great in PvP vs musketeers.
  2. Some sort of hard CC that can take out 1 enemy at least for a little while when you wear the small shield (i. e. for soloing). I don’t mean something like Polymorph, that would be OP and not fit the warrior class. I mean something like a long stun with long cooldown (should be available only once per regular enemy encounter). I have real trouble fighting 2 same level mobs, shield is gone so quickly.
  3. Ranged pull. Please add something to pull mobs because you so quickly charge into aggro range of multiple mobs.
  4. Some way to keep near mobs while they chase your allies. There’s the slow combo but it takes time to do and the mob runs all the time while you can only use awkward teleport locomotion to keep up.

2 and 4 I think are kind of solved by shield bash. shield bash into horn or hamstring can work pretty well when catching up with enemies, but it’s very short. I think this could also solve 1, if you could interrupt their heals.

Maybe increase the length of shield bash to solve most of these problems, but then perhaps add some resistance to elites, dungeons or group mobs to prevent it from being too strong in group situations?

I would love a “throw sword” move tbh for pulling, and perhaps it could even generate a decent amount of threat so you can use it grab pesky mobs that are running away or attacking the backline when tanking. Or increase the range of horn to allow you to pull with that?

I agree though, these are all frustrating parts of playing warrior.

  1. I could see this but it is rather niche, I feel there could be a better solution than adding a move that is only useful on 5% of the mobs in the game.
  2. This is mostly done with Shield Bash and bringing the right shield for the job. A small shield is just a buckler, it’s ment to block a hit or two but not tank and oncoming force. If you are using the buckler you are out for blood not survival.
  3. Yes, definitely, YES. Plenty of times a warrior simply has to walk away from an area because they can’t face pull mobs one at a time from larger groups, meanwhile the other 3 classes can.
  4. Shield Bash and Horn help with this mostly, for everything else you just hit them with hamstring combos as you run. You can delay your combos in between swings for harder to hit targets, so you can hit them with strike 1 and 2, run after them then finish the combo once you catch up.
