I tried to search for this but didn’t see anything. Do we know what causes the runemage’s rune drawing to jitter? Nothing else jitters except for that.
I also seem to miss a lot of ice lances that look like they should be landing (the effect goes right through the hitbox of the enemy). Any idea there?
I also see my spells sometimes go through enemies. I think it is just lag. What do you mean by run drawing jitters? Like when you draw a straight line it looks more wavy?
Generally wiggly lines, if not caused by “the shakes”, is due to reprojection. You might want to see if changing the reprojection settings on SteamVR will fix the issue.
i m pretty sure you are talking about the fact that sometimes, the drawing is just kind of “vibrating” in the air. If that’s what you are talking about, it was reported in another post, and riley is aware of it.
Also, ice lance is the one spell you have to be extremely accurate with. Because it fires in a direct fine line you have to be really careful about where you’re aiming right when you press the button. You probably miss then it moves a little bit and the animation looks like it should be hitting. Because of some of the hit box while moving issues it is also extremely difficult to land if you are moving while casting as the hit box is wonky sometimes while using locomotion (shiki posted a video I don’t wanna take the time to find and link).
Someone else made a thread about this previously, but basically after drawing the spell if you don’t “submit” it right away the lines themselves seem to vibrate a little. It’s on our bug tracking system. I have no idea why it only happens to some people. It shouldn’t affect your actual casting at all, though, other than being annoying.
I know for a fact that it wiggled a lot like you all described in the regular desert for me. I thought it was an internal problem from my computer or something.
