Maybe this has been suggested before, and maybe there’s a way to do it I haven’t discovered yet. But I would love the ability to be walking forward by holding up on one controller, and then be able to strafe left/right by pushing Left/Right on the other hands’ stick. As far as movement goes, this is my only qualm so far. (Well, beyond the Mage spells, but I’ll eventually figure out the trick to trigger all of those.)
I believe this is possible. There is a movement section in the settings which allows you to turn on sliding motion as well as strafe. Not entirely sure how strafe is handled - it makes me motion sick…
There is an option in the locomotion menu called “Left strafe, right turn”, which will enable you to move forwards and backwards with the right controller and turn around, while you can strafe with the left one. The “right turn” is the same as smooth turn.
Thank you! That is going to make a world of difference!
I’m not sitting in front of the game right now so I don’t know exactly, but if I recall there’s also a place space and a front-facing option. One of those selected will allow you to hold the left controller any position while you press up on the thumbstick to walk. The other one, and again I’m not sure which one it is, while you’re pressing up on the Sunset and are holding the controllers pointing down, you will walk slower. You will just inch along if the thumbstick is all the way forward but the controller is facing down just hanging at your side while you’re walking around. There’s actually three options for this setting. One of them allows you to just have your hands dangling by your size but still holding on to the controllers while pressing up on the stick and you can walk forward or run forward in a normal speed. It actually allows you to have full control of the thubsticks in any direction regardless of the way the controllers are pointing.
