Toggle setting to disable Forward/Backwards movement on the right controller

I would love to disable the forward/backwards movement on the right controller, because it always causes me to drift and or slowing down my movement (left is held forwards=100% and right drifts backwards 20% so i only have 80% movement)
Or is there a easy way to unbind it?

I would go to your settings and then turn off the stuff for the right controller. I think you can make it so the right hand is turning only.
Hope this helps.

You mean ingame settings? I havent found anything but maybe im super blind :black_joker:

Yeah in game settings.

I cant find anything about that ingame, im sorry.

They might be talking about right turn left move or w/e?

Are you talking about how holding your controller at 90 degrees to the ground gives you maximum speed, but anything more or less slows you down? If so, that is a setting… somewhere… I just can’t remember where it is right now… :woman_facepalming: (the setting is to disable that speed variation based on angle completely)

No i have that disabled. i want to disable the Up/down on the right Controller touchpad (vive wands and i think on joy controller too) to not move me forward or backwards. I just want to Control my movement speed on the left hand because having 2 speed inputs does not work for me at least.

Like i said i have left strafe/ right snap. And i wannt to Snap on my right hand but sometimes (40% of the time) when u dont exactly hit the total right corner of the touchpad it will register it as forward/backwards too, and then u keep sliding in that direktion untill u touch the right touchpad again to refresh the input (forwards/backwards dosnt matter) and when u let go u stop moving. i dont know why it lets you infinitly move forwards after a snap turn … (i disabled everything sofar even combat sprint and autowalk, nothing fixed that)

It almost feels like autowalk where u move and press gripp so u keep walking without inputt.
Maybe move+snap causes to trigger Autowalk?
And i dont know how else i should describe it :frowning:

That sounds like a bug if I’m understanding your description correctly. If you’re playing through SteamVR, you might experiment with the SteamVR controller bindings, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for a fix from that.

Unsure exactly the issue but there is an auto-walk in game you can disable. Also probably want to disable grip to sprint (unrelated but it causes stamina drain issues).

If the problem can’t be fixed in SteamVR by configuring buttons + OrbusVR movement settings then it’s currently unfixable.

Left move, right turn only should address it. But note you can’t turn with a weapon(or wand atleast) out on your right hand using vive controllers. That is permanent and can not be fixed. Blame the awful touchpad design steam is always trying to shove down people’s throats.

For knuckles, its a long known OrbusVR bug / yet to be supported. They just mimic the vive controllers which creates issues with mage line attacks and creates movement problems.
