I am extremely surprised that there are atleast 5 players who main warrior. (Not seen any in ages)
I selected Ranger as it is one of the two classes I have leveled to 30 and have good enough gear for end content. I also have a Scoundrel that has served me well so far for end game but I do want to warn anyone with a Scoundrel as your main class.
It has come to my attention that boss 4 hard mode Citadel has no place for Scoundrel. The True Gambler talent used to achieve the dps required has the side effect that has them dead. Any of the guilds that I know of who have successfully completed boss 4 do not allow Scoundrel in for boss 4.
If you are a Scoundrel and plan to complete end game, start now leveling, gearing up and mastering a second class.
Its dangerous to true gambler scoundrel for circles but they wont guarantee die.
The problems that a scoundrel does add to the party, is its add dps is waaaay too low. And on the boss you cant stun so its a joke too. I did both scoundrel on adds and boss and again its possible. But you will be below the average player in the group and to be honest below the average needed to kill the boss. So you gotta need some above average dps to fix the scoundrel lacking behind.
Iām sure that is the reason they are not allowed in. It is a shame that just one class is left out but I guess there are places that other classes are left lacking.
I was lucky. I have great gear for my Ranger. Now I just have to get good at the class. LOL
We have a lot of people scoundrel for us on Boss 4 (and the rest of the raid) HM Cit @Randy_M. It is possible, and useful.
Yes @NotScott is correct, (with a few exceptions) their DPS is typically lower than the other players, however, I would (and do) happily take scoundrels who know the fight and can stay alive over other players who while they can dish out a lot of damage do not stay alive long enough to carry the fight to completion.
The question then becomes (the same question every player must ask themselves when picking a main class). Do they want to play on that class bad enough, to become good enough, to be considered an essential asset to the team?
