What is the purpose of buying a new net gun

Can anyone tell me why I shoild buy a new net gun for $4000 Din? Is there an advantage or is it cosmic?

Ok. Cool.

I do have a funny story. I was out doing critter capture and happened to have the barrel of my net gun hit a cactus in the rainforest. A second passed and bam I have the plant. WHAT??? so I tried it again and bam another one. I’m thinking COOL!!! Is this a second function of the gun??? I turned and looked at my dragon and saw that he was my gatherer. I just laughed.
