Why are Mushrooms not in caves

It just occurred to me that I have never seen a mushroom in a cave where they grow naturally. Are they special above ground high light high temperature varieties? Shouldn’t they be in a cold dark environment?

I see what your saying but this game isn’t supposed to be that realistic I mean we can heal people by playing songs

Makes sense to me. To heal the previous pain you need a bigger pain. Dad’s and Uncles wouldn’t lie.
