Simply put why is this game called orbus?

Orbus definition;
ADJ
bereft| deprived|childless

Bereft definition;
ADJ
Deprived of or lacking something, especially a nonmaterial asset.

So why is this game “deprived or childeren”?

i read in another thread a post by a dev that said its based of the latin word for orphan and will be explained later in the lore
