Citadel Normal Mode Raid Beta Info/Feedback (UPDATED NOTES 12/4!)

Hey everyone, we just posted a preview of the normal mode Citadel Raid Beta information, which you can check out here: https://blog.orbusvr.com/citadel-raid-beta-test-to-launch-dec-3rd/ and we wanted to go a bit more in-depth here on what sort of feedback we’re looking for and what you can expect. We appreciate everyone who wants to give it a try and test it out!

You can enter by forming a group and selecting the Enter Raid Beta button in the Social -> Activities Menu.
When the full release goes live you will also be able to queue for it, and enter it via the fresh tunnel under Highsteppe that Helga and her crew have dug up.

There are 4 bosses with their own mechanics, and currently no trash mobs (for the beta only). The drops will not be enabled until the full release, December 15th. Any changes to the inventory (such as using items like potions) will not be saved when you leave, which means you can use consumables without wasting them.

Feedback we’re looking for:

  • Any exploits or ways to cheese the fights or kill them in unintended ways or avoiding entire mechanics
  • Other bugs making the fights impossible or frustrating
  • General balancing, such as difficulty. Keep in mind this is normal mode, so we are hoping for groups who aren’t all geared in +5s to be able to clear it. If your party is fully decked out and you find it on the easier side, that should be normal but we’re open to any comments.
  • General feel of the fights, do you like them? Are they fun, fresh, etc?

We can’t wait to hear from you and we’ve proud of the surprises you’ll find in there.
Have fun!

What was he like last time

He was the best star pilot in the galaxy, and a cunning warrior. And he was a good friend.

How is armor/weapon drops happeneing?

To add, how will tokens work and will exchange them in the same spot as the guild city raid or will it work like old game

Will the new raid drop different armor cosmetics or tokens than the existing one?

Does that mean there will be just 1 gear currency and all bosses being able to drop any gear piece like the raids in old orbus? since otherwise there wouldn’t be enough bosses for each piece of armor and weapon.

Or does it mean the bosses are gonna drop stuff that isn’t armor or weapons, but instead some other items that increase your stats or something?

Or is there a boss you don’t want to reveal until full release?

Enraged Rupert? Riley???

Why is one of them called Seamstress? The same as the current raid boss 4. (Confusion will cross the land of Orbus)

And when can we hear about the rewards behind the raid? I am guessing this is kept secret for now because of A) still deciding B) want to not be a distraction of testing the raid mechanics.

We could barely read its name

Napur
Seamstress
Geruvi
Enraged Sephotep

Oh just rewatched on my computer and yeah… Why do we have a 2nd seamstress

We appreciate all the questions!
Regarding the loot - this week we’ll be focusing on the gameplay testing, but we’ll go in-depth about how the loot will be handled next week.

Some of the gameplay footage in the teaser was recorded during earlier testing, so there’s a couple small things that were placeholder or got changed for the final release, that name was one of them.

Swolldemort is an easier name to remember the spelling of and I love it.
