Rangers are way underpowered for DPS even paladins do better damage their damage needs to be buffed for archers
There are many archers that can out DPS paladin. I agree that as far as DPS goes they are rather low, but if you are below the tank then you are just a bad ranger. Practice up.

I do better damage then paladins I’m just trying to get at the damage output for rangers is low compared to scoundrel or any other class and every 1 I know says ranger is the worst class
Scoundrel is the worst DPS class because of its tilesets being almost impossible to proc (as far as we know). The best scoundrel in the game is known to get 50-60k DPS and the best ranger in the game was getting 70k+ before he stopped playing.

Good to know but I switched to Runemage awhile back which is by far the best class I’m still refusing to play archer anytime soon 
eh, no. was usually around 50k+ no ranger has gptten 70k in a normal situation

While Ranger does have a lower cap, that doesn’t make it useless by any means. Ranger is very much viable in every aspect of the game. If you like Ranger, play it because it’s fun 
Just because the top 3 mages can pull 100k+ doesn’t mean everybody should drop every class and go Mage. Play what you enjoy.
Yes, the Dev Dudes should rebalance and they’re currently looking at reworking and balancing the classes, but just enjoy the game.

Ranger tires my arm out after playing consecutive dungeons for 2-3 hours and Runemage is easy if u can spell spam but thank you 
I once played with a player who was mediocre and he would sometimes hit 144k damage as a ranger… Impressive!
There is a difference between burst damage and sustained damage though, sure you can do a big crit with charged piercing but that doesn’t mean you’re doing that all the time

Since ranger takes more skill than mage it should have higher dps cap.
That, plus 3 proc on tiles and full crit damage setup. My average fireball crit is around 80-100k. But it can crit pretty high.
Definitely not. Mage is the most technical and difficult class to master. It’s one thing to be able to cast the spells, but another to be able to cast them at 2-3 spells per second. Mage is just a far more popular class, so you see more top mages than rangers. Rangers max out around 40-50k. Closer to 40k with current players. Whereas mages can go over 100k, which is why players prefer to get better with mage over ranger.
