You are right… the more people you have the higher advantage you have of finding the goblin. That is exactly what I said:
So thanks for paraphrasing me on that.
Regarding ‘complaining’… I believe there is no ‘complaining’. I am just pointing out flaws in the system.
Namely this flaw:
A good show and an example of this flaw is when I 1v1’d with you and because we did not know you had the token… we did not pursue… which to just requote myself again from the post above (which i guess you never read):
It is clear you need to know where the person with the goblin tokens is… we searched 20 + mins and made 100% sure no-one can run to highsteppe unnoticed. really hope it will change soon.
Well that is no fun and that just kills the PvP aspect of it, especially if someone hides in the wall. Having a beam on the person or at least have that person glow would encourage more PvP and would be a welcomed change.
Today I had no problems attending the goblin besides being a bit retarded and not switching on PvP, man that is embarassing, apologies to the gentleman/woman for my accusations at cheating.
Anyway still really disagree solo players should not hide. The area is too big. It is a pvp thing not a hide and seek thing. If that is the only way to give solo players a chance then that is shit.
The advantage of the token carriers is insane btw if they know what they doing. You have the whole world to choose to walk in, walls to walk in, no splitting up needed, a 10 min timer to disappear, no visible indication that you are the carrier, having the attacker think anyone can be the carrier and attack and waste time to the wrong person. There is no advantage to the attacker except for not being the carrier of something valuable.
I haven’t done this event and probably won’t for a while but I had a thought about how to indicate someone has a token, polymorph the token holder into a goblin. It won’t tell other players where the token holder is on the map but other players would know on sight if someone had the token.
GJ Burnator … if I was into world pvp, at all, that would be my tactics, likely lol. Also, since you still had pvp on it is still dangerous, so why not.
We just went for a good old trickster goblin event and I saw that someone picked up the token and we killed them and they didnt have it. I think they might have broken down the token but not sure… @Riley_D is the trickster token currently break down-able?
Or maybe we just missed a cheeky little change over of the token to someone else.
I happened to be in the zone when the goblin popped. I had pvp off. I found the goblin and started sending up fireworks to draw ppl in, I wanted to see a big fight. Someone showed up and was instantly killed (less than a second)by an invised player. Then the goblin was killed and I saw the chest but got nothing when I opened it(again pvp off).
My thoughts are that non pvp players should not be able to see the goblin or the loot to avoid non pvp scouts.
And there should be a way to counter invisible pots, if there is not one already. Has anyone tried the Ithecac pot for this?
Musky getting everyone stuck in combat from a distance is also nasty… the hole stuck in combat needs a fix, where hitting it frees your opponent but not yourself.
