Closed Beta 3 Feedback Thread

Not sure if you have had this question answered but in game under the settings menu there is an option for Trackpad movement, along with other various ways to customize your movement further. Hope this helps

Just did a quick soft reset of some of the primary zones to do some quest fixes. Thanks!

You should be able to talk to Markos now, let me know if it is still broken for you and we can look into it deeper

Just a general PSA to everyone, the Teleport pillar next to the Order fort South of Guild City, will now take you to the correct location, NOT the lvl 19s on top of Ma’ats keep anymore. Sorry for any lower level players that got introduced to a lvl 19 too early.

Thanks for the screenshot, I found the problem and it will be fixed in the patch we push out tomorrow.

Here is a little more feedback after a day of playing.

I already relayed the issues with ! being over non-quest givers and since it bears mentioning again I’ll say please add some sort of legend to the journal to educate me on the different symbols above mobs and NPCs.

Other than that the beginners area is pretty damn good. Is there supposed to be a cut scene after helping the mayor? I got a sort of message that indicated one but didn’t actually get a cut scene.

I have a small problem with the witch quest line. It feels very incomplete. After going to the 3 pillars and learning the 3 different spells there was nothing else. Not even a “have a good day” from the witch. It just abruptly ends. Perhaps a bit more conversation to indicate where we may find more spells or if we return later for more instruction or … anything.

After completing the beginning area and are then sent to the guild city to talk to the bishop (or what ever he was). When meeting him the conversation ends with him sending me to see his guard captain (or whatever her title was), the end of the conversation had a typo. He said “No Go!” instead of “Now go!”

I’m sure it’s in the works but the guild city is VERY empty. Doesn’t fit with the conversations you have with some of the NPCs.

The first escort quest you receive from the guard captain (or whatever her title was) is horrendous! It took four or five of us together to complete. He continuously kept resetting himself in the middle of the journey. He seemed to relish in aggroing every damned creature withing 5 miles of himself, you are not able to heal him, you (if your a warrior) can pull aggro but if your not careful will aggro the guy your escorting which means you need to reset the quest. You can not pull aggro through dps. You basically have to kill the creatures before he dies, even when it means killing 5-6 wolves in a single pull. I do believe you may want to take another look at that quest. Spent the majority of my day just trying to get through that quest.

Noticed an awful lot of lures just floating around in different locations.

Not sure how long the servers are remaining open but if I get more time in I’ll be sure to let you know about other issues I find.

Couple things i’ve noticed:
The tool tips are still finicky. Sometimes they’ll trigger accurately and then certain (random each time) slots in the inventory won’t trigger at all so I would have helmets and weapons that I don’t know the stats of. Eventually I’d be in my house or a different zone and they would trigger but new ones wouldn’t.

Sometimes in combat if you sword rush or teleport to an enemy you can’t slide anymore until you teleport. Even if you have plenty of stamina left. It almost seems like when you’re stuck on a tree or rock and can’t slide yourself off.

The sword has been accurate this test (thanks for the cleave fix) but if there’s an enemy on either side or behind you and you swing, it will count as a hit on that target and cancel any combo you were in. The obvious fix is to just move and adjust yourself so everything is in a cone infront of you again. This is annoying if you’re swamped in a huge mob and you’re trying to cleave or trade off provokes. To counteract this I have to overextend and leave the mob and try to work the outside to hit each enemy separate. Does the sword have a delay from when it can trigger again or is it a pure distance thing where once I get it up to a certain speed/distance between the enemy I just hit and the one to my side or behind me it’ll trigger again?

Boy is it hard to melee with other warriors. We have to be really careful in how we position ourselves to each other or we’ll cancel all our attacks on each others’ shields. I can’t think of a fix because I do like that our shields can block allies projectiles just like our bodies so positioning is important, but in a melee like that it’s pretty frustrating to be forced into a bad position just so you can have room to swing. OR it’s simply a feature and part of being good is being able to work around it.

If you are over-encumbered and try to trade a player, the window won’t open. If you’re not, you can trade just fine. Feature or bug?

Anyway, those are a few things I’ve repeatedly noticed. I’m sure I have plenty more stuff I forgot (Been playing long sessions with few-to-no crashes so I haven’t been taking notes) but I’ll remember it later.

Edit: One more thing: Health pots/age health pots still heal both hp and shield to 100%. I believe you said you wanted aged to be 50% with HoT and health pots to be 25%.

Yes all cut scenes in game will currently display that message. We will be getting those into the game soon, and some parts of the story will make more sense.

Ok I will look into it, just to make sure I’m reading it right, you are saying that if a warrior you can attack the NPC, or that when attacking monsters around him he will start attacking you?

'
You don’t happen to remember which monsters those were do you?

It happened with all I can remember. Get in close and sometimes you get too close and can’t back up or slide around. Also the reinforcements in the snow zone liked to run inside me so I had to constantly reposition. The big culprits were the snow foxes. We didn’t stay in the snow zone for too long because a single enemy would turn into a 7 enemy fight with several group adds. At level 16 that was too much to handle.

How many players did you have in your party when they were pulling in other groups?

I’ve had this happen as well. Spirits, Stags, And crabby things cause it. Foxes and Redtails seem fine. Going to try more in a bit.

Edit Forest Golems, Spiders, wolves, sheep, and Archer rebels caused it as well but Sword and shield rebels did not.

Okay thanks for the quick info.

Nevermind. Thank you for fixing the issue I had.

When selecting a location to portal to, far off entry portals (tops and bottoms of stairs, for example) are visible. Not sure if intentional, but just something I noticed. Additionally, I was having some issues with the recipe and map images. They were aligned slightly left of the page, cutting off an inch or two of the image.

After playing for several hours straight as a first orbus experience, omg that was so fun!

Cheers

Got D/C - went did something else for 10 minutes then logged back in - killed immediately by mobs i killed just before D/C.
Went to graveyard - and took 1 teleportation blink and was then transported back at the mobs that killed me - and they killed me again

I wasn’t playing the warrior so not sure which ability was causing it. it was either the AOE Taunt or the taunt combo accidentally hitting him.

It was a full party of 5. Not sure if the spawning adds gathered other mobs on the way or what but it got hectic fast. And the hills are hard to fight on. The navmesh is broken up and awkward

Here in about 10 minutes I will be pushing out a new patch which will require us to take the servers offline for a few moments to do a full restart. Please stand by.

The new patch is now live. In particular:

  • Fixed a bug which could allow you to put away your Runemage wand while in the middle of casting a ray-type spell (such as Icelance or Arcane Ray) and then get your wand back out and have the spell still casting. This should also fix bugs where people’s Runemage Super spell was getting stuck on their wand.
  • Fixed many quest bugs
  • Fixed a bug where fishing for the Minnow wasn’t working.
  • Fixed some bugs in an attempt to help with disconnect issues some folks are still having.
  • Fixed a bug which was causing the airship dock near the Resort area to disappear.
  • Fixed a bug which could cause your helm to disappear while you were sharding other items.
  • All the “overworld” zones including the wilds now stay online even if no one is in them, which should prevent you from losing your loot bag if you die in a wilds zone and then accidentally leave the zone before going to your grave.

Restart your launcher to get it.
