Fish jerking does not make the line red:

No the line turning red is solely based on whether or not you are reeling it in and the speed at which you are reeling it. I’m not saying there isn’t a difference overall in the speed of catching fish or the difficulty, merely that the line isn’t turning red any faster and the speed of reeling hasn’t changed. We’ll do some more looking into it and see if some changes need to be made overall.

It’s better to reel immediately even without a fish hooked. Only cast-distance, lures, and fish attractor pot matters for bite-chance:

The number of chances you have to catch a fish is based on the distance you cast the line from the shore, not how long you let it float. The advantage of actively reeling it in is that you will get it back faster which means you can cast again faster. So basically if you just want to relax and let it slowly float back to you, you aren’t missing out on any “value” of the lure, but if you are in a hurry then actively reeling will get you your fish more quickly.

So now live, Wildlife creatures will drop high amounts of fishing parts, other enemies will also drop them as well although to a lesser degree.

There is a bug currently where it is much harder to reel in on Ultra and also the line doesn’t turn red.

Time spent aging a potion is remembered, not reset, when you remove it from the aging rack. Unsure how this is affected by multiple stacks w/ different ages.

Scent attractors(fishing question)

Ill answer this one, once off the aging rack they will stop aging and do not have a best if used by date, you can also take a potion off the rack it will stop its time and if added to the rack again (same one thats already started aging) it will resume the aging process again from where it left off when removed. So if your going on vacation and dont want your potions to spoil you can take them off the rack and then put them back on when you return

Intellect only affects nibble chance, not catch chance.

No one knows the catch ratio I think but it’s preeeetty low, I barely get double fish and got a full luck tree+rings on. Intellect gives an advantage for finding nibbles, good for testing the waters, nothing else. Fishing Potions: Always use age, it’s easy to age them and much more effective. Legendary Fish:
The three original legendary fish and one of the new ones do not have a set location. They rotate around the various bodies of water across the world and only remain there for a short time, around a couple of hours.

What are primary, secondary lures for each fish? (doesn’t seem completely accurate, for ex: I’ve caught sunfish using only a small tongue as well as only a lesser eye).
